Blood test: when you take medicine ...

In a blood test, one can also possibly dose the drugs that one takes, to know their rate in the blood and to better adapt their dosage.

If anti-vitamin K is taken, the INR, prothrombin (TP) level can also be determined. And depending on the result, the doctor modifies or not the dosage of the treatment.

The special case of pregnancy

During pregnancy, different tests will be conducted to monitor the health of the future mother and baby. These are ultrasound examinations, urine and blood tests.

Thanks to the blood test, pregnancy is confirmed by a blood test of alpha feto-protein. Other blood tests taken throughout the nine months can monitor certain parameters such as the absence of a new infection (if the mother is not protected).
